Equity Standing Committee
The Equity Committee is a recognized standing committee of CSLIT dedicated to making schools within the TCDSB safe and enjoyable for all students. This year, some of the pressing issues that will be addressed within the committee will include: inclusive education, mental wellness, race and ethnic relations, as well as anti-bullying. Each Student Council or Student Leadership delegate of CSLIT is invited to be a member of this standing committee.
Students within the TCDSB have a voice and they will be able to express their ideas and concerns through this committee. Every student in the TCDSB will have the opportunity to speak out on issues of inequity that they face in their schools. This Committee will create opportunities at such events including, a retreat to L’Arche Toronto, Pink Shirt Day, and the Jean Vanier Week of Inclusion and Belonging. It will definitely be a year of outstanding Catholic Leadership and we cannot wait to begin!
